Entrepreneurship competition in the life sciences sector: DEVTECH 2020 – Unveiling of the winning companies
Quebec International (QI) and the Quebec VITAE niche of excellence are pleased to announce the three winning companies of the DEVTECH 2020 competition. Presented across Quebec, this competition is aimed at companies working in the field of science. life, either in the start-up, pre-marketing or commercialization phase.
At the end of the competition, among the six finalists in the running, three companies stood out to participate in the Innovator’s Pitch Challenge organized online by Redefining Early Stage Investments (RESI), in particular:
Note that RESI is a unique opportunity for start-ups in the life sciences sector to present an innovative project directly to a panel of investors. In this regard, the winning companies have the possibility of receiving a dedicated page on the Digital RESI Live Agenda, integrating their four-minute presentation video prominently for maximum exposure. In addition, with training provided in advance as part of DEVTECH 2020, they will have to summarize their project (Elevator Pitch) in one minute during the live session for potential investors.
The event took place virtually on December 15th. Among the six finalists were also BioTwin, Bio 6 and Rasberry Scientific. The expert jury, composed of Ms. Ines Holzbauer (AmorChem), Mounia Azzi (adMare BioInnovations), Isabelle Dufresne (Fonds Innovexport), and Messrs. Daniel Hêtu (Lumira Ventures), Benoît Larose (Medtech Canada) and Andy Sheldon (consultant ) underlined the exceptional quality of the projects presented and congratulated the winners.
